Replace the belt you wear every day with one that can save your life? Or maybe you might need to tie a couch to the roof of your car or tow that car out of a ditch.

The point is… Function is our fashion.

So in 2011 we started making paracord straps as a simple way to carry a back-up paracord supply while hiking in wilderness areas (we live in Idaho).

What we discovered is that not only are they great worst-case scenario insurance, they also outperform every other belt style for outdoor use… except twine. But who wants to wear that to work?

Tired of poking new holes in your warped leather belt?  Want to stop replacing webbing belts because of frayed edges? Want to wear your belt in any weather, climate, or body of water without worrying about needing to get a new belt at Wal-Mart afterward?

Introducing a new category of waistline accessory: The Rattler Strap.

It’s made entirely of high-quality 550 paracord and a classic (no-nonsense) buckle.

It Features:

-A subtle flex.
-Comfortable secure fit.
-A long lifespan.
-Titanium buckle.
-Infinite- adjustability.
-It’s rated at approx. 5000 lbs (unofficially).
-People will ask about it. (Especially women…and the TSA)

When you venture into the wilderness or travel into the unknown, you should leave your belt at home and wear a RattlerStrap. Then you’ll have over 80 feet of the world’s most versatile cord around your waist, just in case.

We promise that your RattlerStrap will be the most trusted piece of gear you wear for the next 10 years. And we know you’ll thank us next time you get caught with your pants down (or put them on).

Select your size and order today for free shipping!

Don’t forget! If you need to use the cord, send us the buckle and well send you a new RattlerStrap. A lot of people comment “if someone uses the cord, how will they keep their pants up”? If this a question you have, we recommend trying the twine method mentioned above.

“I’ve found that most paracord gear is made cheaply in Asia and with low-quality paracord and components, so when I was looking for a paracord belt that would survive the rigors of everyday use AND survival situations,I could not ignore the nearly perfect reviews of the Rattlerstrap Belt. After nearly 8 months of continuous and hard use in the field, I have NO regrets.”

“With good quality 550 paracord, you can rig a tent, make a fire bow, set snares, go fishing, repair gear, and much more. There are many creative places to store paracord, including boot laces, a bracelet, and an ax handle wrap. However, none of these allow for storage of very large amounts of paracord. A line of belts developed by Rattlerstrap fulfills this purpose, while also replacing a piece of gear that you may otherwise take for granted.”

It looks legit and it’s super strong – i swear you could pick up a car with one of these… could be a life saver in the right/wrong situation – besides being a bad-a belt the uses are endless

Not too much to report. This belt is bomber. It’s comfortable. It looks great. I’ve had mine for about 8 months and it’s been on my waist almost everyday.

My RattlerStrap belt is AWESOME! I love this thing. Durable, fashionable, lightweight, doesn’t get better than this. Favorite feature: completely adjustable to every size, belt holes are a thing of the past.

I was hesitant to buy this belt when there are others out there around a third of the cost. I am glad I went with this one. I have made para-cord bracelets and have gotten pretty good at it. This belt makes me look silly. The weaving is -tight-. This thing is well made and tough. I expect that it will last a long , long time.

Free re-threading if you do need it as well !

I bought this belt after seeing an employee wearing it, and asked him about it. It’s easily the best belt I’ve ever bought…and the most versatile. I’ve had it a year and have worn it nearly every day, and it’s still in like new condition. And I’m not a light-duty wearer. I do landscape construction work and am outside being physical and moving around a whole lot. Most belts I’ve bought and worn for work end up wearing out after a year or so. But since the weaving of the belt is so beautiful it’s also become my go-to belt for every other purpose as well. So it’s basically the only belt I’ve worn since I bought it – my two other belts are either kinda worn out or just boring.
It’s hard to find clothes and accessories that are both rugged AND beautiful, than these rattlerstraps are.
Oh, and excellent customer service, too. The first one I ordered based on my belt size felt too short…I like a longer tail after strapping the belt in. They gladly replaced it free of charge for a longer one.

The belt arrived in a very timely manner. Although I did not actually receive the belt as it was a gift to my son. He has spoken very highly about the belt as he is able to wear it both with a business suit and for casual wear. It is a belt he is not required to remove when going thru Security Checkpoinnts. Thank you

great belt, very sturdy and infinitely adjustable.I have another one from a different seller, and this one is much better.I thought that the price was pretty high but it is worth it now that I have it and have worn it.I expect it to last forever!

Beyond. great. I will probably weave a little braided fishing line into the belt just for added fun but I purchased this because I could have never gotten to this quality on my first few tries. Si I figured pay now or pay later.

I admit I have a bit of a belt problem. Travelling the world for years, I have picked up belts of almost every possible hide, or skin, available. Some I wear a lot and some less, but since buying the RattlerStrap, I find myself wearing it all the time. It’s a unique and great looking belt which screams adventure.

I was looking for something black and different… read the reviews and thought I would order it the cost was a factor but I figured I could send it back if need be. It is a little stiff but I think it will get flexible in time. I thought it may be to ridged to ware comfortably. THIS BELT IS LIKE NO OTHER AND WILL NOT BE TAKEN FROM UNLESS IT IS FROM MY COLD DEAD BODY. caps intended. Ladies… a gr8 gift for the real man in your life.

I hope I never need to survive but if I do i believe this product will work well. As advertised. Very tight weave. Looks good and could be used for every day use. If they added a knife blade on the buckle it would be superior. If you have the money- well worth the cost.

I bought two of these a while back. The belts are quite sturdy, and while I haven’t had to break one in case of emergency, I think it will serve well if it does. I can otherwise expect to get many years of use out of them. Don’t buy cheapo belts that you have to replace quickly, buy Rattlerstrap instead!

This is a great belt. It can be adjusted to any size & is very sturdy. It’s nice knowing that I always have cordage available if I need it for an emergency. If you have to use the paracord for an emergency, all you have to do is mail the buckle back to them and they’ll replace the paracord at no extra charge. It’s expensive, but it is worth it.

I’ve had my rattleratrap for a few years now, and I can confidently say it is the best belt I have ever owned! It is as durable as when I first bought it. The more I use it the better it gets. I LOVE this belt!

It is a awesome belt, I hoped to use it as a gun belt. It is too thick to put through the slots on most holsters. I will just have to get creative and figure another way to attach a holster.

Very pleased with this product. I gave it to my cousin for Christmas, he wears it every day and has never owned a belt that is this adjustable and reliable! He will have this thing forever! Glad we picked the camo color, it looks really nice! So worth the money to invest in such a good product, and honestly, it wasn’t that expensive if you think about how much use you get out of it over the years. A strap like this isn’t just good for holding your pants up, there are many uses for it! Can’t thank you enough for making this belt!

  • KKimberlin

OMG awesome well worth the money it’s comfortable and practical if it’s anything like my other paracord items it’ll be durable also. It’s not a cheap imitation of a survival belt it’s top of the line in workmanship and quality don’t settle for anything less get the Rattlestrap!!!

Great belt, holds up well, looks good, and the belt buckle is awesome. I’m a big guy, and it’s hard to find para belts in my size, but this one fits great (size 48) with room to spare. I think it would fit up to a size 53 easily.. So why 4 stars? Well it was expensive. I think for a paracord belt the price could be better. Still though, I knew the price, ordered it and paid for it so I can’t really complain. It shipped quickly, fits perfect and is easy to adjust. It holds my pants up better than my old leather belt, which it replaced.

Great belt, keep pants on and gives me a lot of ease of mind when hiking or camping that I have enough paracord for any emergencies.

Great belt! I’ve had this belt for a few months now and wear it nearly every day. I have yet to see any issues with wearing out. All the 550 cord is still in tact, with no inner fibers showing. This is a fantastic belt. I’d love to have more of them.

  • Sean S Salmon

I wouldn’t have imagined I could be this excited about a belt but this thing is great! The quality and care put into making the belt it evident on site but it feels great to. It’s rigid and holds the pants up well and the number of wholes available to latch the buckle is virtually limitless. I’m rough on belts and buy new ones often but I anticipate this one will last quite a while. If you unravel it and use the paracord you can send the buckle back with the tale of how you need the belt and they’ll make you a new one. That’s just cool.

Update: 6/27/16 so going on 9 months now and this belt looks brand new. I’m not easy on clothing or gear at all. I think this baby can survive being handed down a few generations… Well see. Its still frustrating that Its thickness doesn’t allow for many sheaths and holsters. Some things are easy to get around, and others are not. I have an Ontario karambit in my edc that’s been left out because of this. I really miss it and have yet to find a functioning remedy. But overall a great belt.

Jus got it. Really solid construction. With that said it really surpasses any other belt I’ve owned previously. Of course being that not only is it well made with a “re-string” warranty and the fact that it would have more than enuff cordage in a dire situation, but also because it stands up to all year u may need to attach, gun, knife, multi tool, mace, what have u. But I will say the “rattler tail will be more than a pain to string thru most of ur edc equipment. There will be some manipulation involved and will make it a bit of a pain to switch pants and regear. Not sure how I feel about that yet or if the belt is worth this extra time and effort, but as far as the quality…. Excellence! Usability…… Excellence! Emergency……no brainer. No bracelet could ever b as useful or accomplish as many tasks or time as this belt. The only thing that this company could do to make this belt a secondary item is to make rifle slings. [may already b out there, have not researched it yet] but if not , then they need to do it. Only downfall as of yet [1st day I’ve had it] is the tail. It just can’t accomodate most holsters or sheaths.

so on their Rattlerstrap’s website it says you can take it through airport security, which i’ve typically taken it off anyway. This past Thursday at John Wayne Airport near L.A. i tried it. It was one of those spin around you body scanner/xray type where you put your arms up and take everything out of your pockets. I went through and they asked me to step to the side, so i thought it’d failed. They used a hand wand to check my front pocket where i’d left 3 ibuprofen tablets (little ones). LOL…they patted my front pockets down but never saw or mentioned the belt, so it went through just fine. success.

I’m relatively thin with a 31″ waiste, so after underestimating the length of the belt and having to return and buy the smaller version here’s what I have to say. The belt is definitely well built, it’s, like stated, made of 7 strand 550lb Atwood paracord with a titanium buckle which makes for a very sturdy belt. Although I don’t think I’ll ever be in situation where I’d have to unwind the and use the paracord, however if you do have to, it says on a piece of paper in the packaging that if you send them the buckle they’ll re-wrap it for you which is a huge plus. But despite the extreme quality of this belt there is one major downside and that unfortunately is the width, while others have vertical width problems I had problems with the horizontal width, it’s too thick for 1/3 of my pants and can’t be doubled up through the first loop however on the pants that I can fit it on it is definitely the best belt I have ever used.

After I searched the Internet for a paracord belt, I kept coming back to this one though it was a little more expensive. The belt seemed better designed, I loved the patterns, and (the small details) the buckle is classy and far better than any buckles on the other paracord belts. This belt (with this buckle) looks great to wear casual with nice black or khaki cargo shorts, and has the survival factor if wearing for camping, hunting, fishing, or adventuring abroad. When I received the belt, I just said WOW! It was truly the right decision with superior quality and craftsmanship, and glad I made this purchase!! You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect for jeans. Has some “shape”, so it stays in place on your hips with much tightening, more comfortable. Unbelievably tight weave, really makes it nicer from appearance and function. Most practical comfortable belt I have seen.
